Some News Type Thing (23/8/12): Guardians of the Galaxy, Bane After The Dark Knight Rises and Iron Man 3and Kick-Ass 2 News

Welcome to this weeks edition of Some News Type Thing,  we've got news news from the world of Marvel and what really happened to Bane after 'The Dark Knight Rises'?

Guardians of the Galaxy Has A Release Date
Marvels next big assemble movie has a release date, and that is August 1st, 2014. So as it stands at the moment, we have 'Iron Man 3' and 'Thor: The Dark World' in 2013, 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy' in 2014 and of course 'The Avengers 2' (although that's not its official name) in 2015. The only on we're waiting to hear anything about it 'Ant-Man'.

What Happened To Bane?
This is a hilarious video from www.funnyordie.com that shows what happens to Bane after the events of 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Warning this video contains spoilers.

I have to say that this could be much better, but it's still really funny and Chris Kattan does a great impression of Bane.

Production Problems On Iron Man 3
Apparently, filming has came to an abrupt halt on the set of 'Iron Man 3'. Robert Downey Jr. received an ankle injury whilst performing a stunt. Although its good to know that Robert does his own stunts, it saddens me when anything disrupts the filming of a movie I think will be awesome. I hope Robert recovers soon. Marvel haven't seen fit to change the release date for the film so they must be confident that Robert will make a full recover soon enough.

Kick-Ass 2 Casting News
It has been announced that Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Minz-Plasse are confirmed to reprise their roles. Apparently so is Nicholas Cage, not sure how that's going to work but we'll have to wait and see (it's probably not even true, but I thought it was worth mentioning). Jeff Wadlow is the new guy in the director's chair and he wants Jim Carrey to have a role in the film. I'm okay with that, Jim Carrey is hilarious! He just occasionally picks bad movies.

That's all for this week my loyal followers. On a personal note, I am very excited for the 27th of this month, because my blu ray of 'Starship Troopers: Invasion' arrives. It's meant to be the sequel to 'Starship Troopers' we've all been waiting for. As long as its better than the two direct-to-DVD live-action sequels that came out, then I'm happy.
