Review of LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace (Short Film)

'LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace' is a 2011 TV movie directed by David Scott and written by Michael Price. The film stars Anthony Daniels, Nika Futterman and Tim Gaul. The film is a spoof/tie-in to the Star Wars Universe set before 'Revenge of the Sith'. All of the characters are made out of LEGO.

As with everything LEGO do, this is hilarious. Everyone I know played with LEGO as a child, and when they started bring out LEGO games that love for the product was revived. This film may only be half an hour long, but it is filled with laughs, both related to the Star Wars Universe and the general humour of LEGO (character and vehicle being blown to pieces and re-assembled). In the film we see many many familiar faces from all corners of the Star Wars Universe, including Yoda, The Emperor, George Lucas and Darth Vader. Also R2-D2 and C3-PO. I don't want to give away any of the story because it will ruin it for you (yes there actually is a story to this film), but I would highly recommend taking half an hour of your life to watch this, it was a lot funnier than I first anticipated and now I feel the need to go buy and play LEGO Star Wars (damned marketing).

I am going to give 'LEGO Star Wars: The Padawan Menace' a 7.5/10 because it is really funny, but is possibly a bit too long, it starts to lose its edge about fifteen minutes into it.
